1990: The Year a Federal Law Changed Everything! Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) at 30
We all know that no one is defined by a disability. And thankfully, the drafters of the Americans with Disabilities Act, or the ADA know that as well.
President George HW Bush called individuals with disabilities a resource of untapped human potential when he signed the ADA on July 26, 1990. This landmark legislation ensures equal access to education, housing and employment, breaking down barriers and building inclusive communities.
